An eatery in North Cambridge that specialized in freshly made sandwiches and smoothies has shut its doors. A trip to the Good Food Cafe on Mass. Ave. last week has confirmed that the restaurant has closed and that the space is now available for another dining spot (or perhaps another business). The Good Food Cafe, which first opened in the spring of 2007, had had limited hours as of late, and there was speculation awhile back that the restaurant might have been closed down, but it did remain open until recently.
Known mostly for its variety of panini, the Good Food Cafe also offered salads, smoothies (including green tea and pina colada flavors), and coffee. Sandwich options included roast beef, turkey, chicken, and an Italian with prosciutto, sopressata, and salami.
The address for this now-closed eatery in North Cambridge was: Good Food Cafe, 2378 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, MA, 02140.
