A family-friendly restaurant in Burlington that has been serving classic American fare to patrons for more than 30 years has closed its doors.
According to The Burlington Union and Wicked Local, the Dandelion Green restaurant on Mall Road shut down earlier this month, apparently due to unsuccessful lease negotiations. The article mentions that the space in which Dandelion Green resided may be subdivided, with a Chipotle restaurant possibly moving into one of the spots.
[August 12 update: As noted by one of our posters below, Chipotle is definitely moving into part of the space where Dandelion Green used to be. According to the Burlington Patch, it looks like the new Chipotle may be opening on August 17.]
[August 25 update: According to Linear Retail Properties, the new Chipotle in Burlington is now open.]
Dandelion Green first opened in 1977, offering such traditional American dishes as New York sirloin, baked stuffed shrimp, pork chops, and chicken florentine to diners. The restaurant was affiliated with three other dining spots (The Hardcover in Danvers, The Beverly Depot in Beverly, and The Barnsider in Albany, NY, all of which remain open and will accept Dandelion Green gift certificates).
The address for this now-closed restaurant in Burlington was: Dandelion Green, 90 Mall Road, Burlington, MA, 01803.
