An Asian eatery within the Hong Kong Market (formerly Super 88) in Allston is closing, as the owner is apparently heading back to Japan.
According to a post on Chowhound, Ken's Ramen House is shutting down, though it looks like based on a post within the thread, another Japanese eatery may be opening in its space a couple of months after it closes. Ken's Ramen House, which first opened about five years ago, has been known as a place to get an authentic ramen noodle house "experience" in the Boston area, with the place featuring miso, soy sauce, and salt ramen with ingredients such as scallions, pork, egg, and seaweed offered.
[January 18 update: Ken's Ramen House is now closed.]
The address for this noodle shop within the Hong Kong Market in Allston was: Ken's Ramen House, 1 Brighton Avenue, Allston, MA, 02134.
