A new restaurant has come to the Boston area, and it is located in a rather unlikely spot.
According to articles in the Newton TAB and Wicked Local, The Tiger's Loft Bistro is now open at Newton North High School in the Newtonville section of the city. The restaurant, which is open to the public (though with very limited parking for now), features food prepared by students who have certification from both the American Culinary Foundation and the ServSafe food safety program. The TAB mentions that the food at The Tiger's Loft Bistro has Greek influences, with gyros and baklava being a couple of the items on the menu. Other items available include club sandwiches, panini, cinnamon rolls, and cookies. Possible future developments for The Tiger's Loft Bistro include an online menu and perhaps some sort of reservation system.
The restaurant, which has a capacity of 75, is open for lunch Wednesday through Friday, with hours currently being 12:05 to 12:50 on Wednesdays, 12:05 to 1:10 on Thursdays, and 11:30 to 12:15 on Fridays, according to the TAB.
Newton North High School can be found at 457 Walnut Street (between Washington Street and Commonwealth Avenue).
