A fish market and takeout place in Lexington that had been in business for many years has closed its doors.
According to a poster on Chowhound, Carey's Catch on Mass. Ave. near the Arlington line is now shuttered (a phone call placed to the shop has confirmed this, as the phone number has been disconnected). Carey's Catch first opened about 30 years ago, according to the Lexington Patch, featuring all kinds of fresh seafood, as well as soups and chowders, fried and broiled seafood, seafood rolls, and side dishes such as onion rings, fried smelts, and Japanese shrimp dumplings.
It is not known at this time what might be going into the former Carey's Catch space.
The address for this now-closed fish market was: Carey's Catch, 46 Massachusetts Avenue, Lexington, MA, 02420.
