According to the Back Bay Patch, Panera Bread is going to open a flagship bakery-cafe on Boylston Street in the Back Bay, with an expected opening date of tomorrow (Tuesday, May 24). In addition to a heated patio and bread coming from their Franklin facility, the new Panera will have free wi-fi. The Patch article mentions that the new spot is expected to serve over 1,000 folks each day during the week, and its menu will feature seasonal items, including a lobster sandwich once it initially opens this week.
Panera Bread currently has about 1,500 locations across the country and in Ontario, according to the chain's website. The Patch article states that the new Back Bay spot will be the 39th Panera in the Boston area.
