Piccadilly Pub in Randolph Has Closed

A small local chain of casual American restaurants has just closed their closest location to Boston.

According to one of our readers, the Picadilly Pub in Randolph is now closed (a check on the chain's website has indeed confirmed this), leaving only one remaining within 20 miles of Boston (where its headquarters are)--a location on Route 28 in North Reading. The Boston-based chain of restaurants has been shrinking over the past several years, with Picadilly Pubs closing in Waltham, Dedham, Tewksbury, and Franklin. A post on the Wikipedia site indicates that the Foxboro location has closed as well, though we are still trying to confirm this. In addition to the North Reading spot, remaining locations of the chain (which is owned by the same group that is behind the Elephant and Castle chain) can be found in Marlborough, Westboro, North Attleboro, Worcester, Auburn, Sturbridge, and West Springfield.

The Picadilly Pub, which first started out in the area nearly 40 years ago, features mostly comfort food and American classics, including burgers, wings, meatloaf, turkey dinner, steak tips, and short ribs.

The address for this now-closed restaurant in Randolph was: Picadilly Pub, 1064 North Main Street, Randolph, MA, 02368. The website for the chain can be found at http://www.piccadillypub.com/
