A seafood restaurant that had been in business for about 35 years--and which changed ownership as well as its name last year--has apparently closed its doors.
According to one of our readers as well as several other sources, including posters on Chowhound and Yelp, the Surf and Turf Tavern on Cambridge Street has shut down. (We checked to confirm, and the restaurant's website is no longer working, and phone calls have gone unanswered.) About a year ago, The Fish House, which had been in the space since the 1970s, changed hands and became the Surf and Turf Tavern, adding to the menu a number of beef dishes.
It is not known why the Surf and Turf Tavern closed, and it is also not known at this time what might be going into the space. As soon as we find out more information, we will post an update here.
The address for this now-closed restaurant in Burlington was: Surf and Turf Tavern, 184 Cambridge Street, Burlington, MA, 01803.
