A Mexican restaurant in Allston has closed after being in business for only about four months.
According to their Facebook page, Jalapenos Mexican Restaurant on Commonwealth Avenue shut down this past Saturday, though their Gloucester and Saugus locations will apparently remain open. The Allston location of the eatery opened in February of this year, replacing Our House West, a watering hole that was known mostly for its burgers, beers, and bar games.
The Saugus location of Jalapenos opened on Route 1 about a month before the Allston spot opened. The original has been on Main Street in Gloucester for about 20 years.
