After a few stops and starts, a restaurant that features Neapolitan-style thin-crust pizza in its three Boston-area locations is finally getting ready to open a fourth spot.
According to Boston.com, Stone Hearth Pizza is in the process of hiring workers for its upcoming Allston restaurant, which will be located at the site of the now-closed Citgo Station at the corner of Western Avenue and North Harvard Street. The new pizza restaurant, which will join three other Stone Hearth locations in Belmont, Cambridge, and Needham, was the focus of some controversy last year, as it had its liquor license revoked before even opening because of a zoning issue, according to an earlier Boston.com article. The issue was worked out a few months ago, however, and now the new Stone Hearth is looking at a possible late summer opening.
