The Madrona Tree Is Opening in Arlington

A new restaurant with Lebanese influences is coming to Arlington, and it is moving into the space vacated by another restaurant, which expanded into the space next door.

According to The Arlington Advocate, The Madrona Tree plans to open at Broadway Plaza in Arlington Center around August 19, taking over the spot where the Italian restaurant Gemma used to be (Gemma is now in a bigger space immediately to the left). The newspaper mentions that the new eatery will feature salads and sandwiches, while the restaurant's Facebook page also states that burgers and garlic fries will be available. Both the Advocate and the restaurant's Facebook page indicate that the food at The Madrona Tree will have Lebanese touches.

[September 2 update: According to their Facebook page, The Madrona Tree is now open.]

The address for this new restaurant in Arlington Center is: The Madrona Tree, 315 Broadway, Arlington, MA, 02474. Their Facebook page can be found at http://www.facebook.com/TheMadronaTree
