Native Foods Cafe May Be Coming to the Boston Area

It looks like a small chain of vegan restaurants based in California--and soon coming to Chicago--is coming to the Boston area.

According to Time Out Chicago, Native Foods Cafe is looking to open at least one location somewhere around Boston, along with locations in Denver, Portland, OR, and Washington, DC at some point. Three spots in Chicago are opening over the next couple of months as well, according to the article.

Native Foods Cafe first started out in Palm Springs in 1994, with the restaurant expanding to six other locations in Southern California over the years. The restaurants focus on fresh foods that use organic and locally-sourced ingredients, with such items as sweet potato taquitos, Seitan meatball subs, tempeh burgers, veggie pizza, and Moroccan bowls on the menu.
