Boloco Might Be Closing Its Medford Location

A small local chain of restaurants that features burritos may be closing one of its locations in the Boston area.

According to Universal Hub, Boloco is closing on Boston Avenue in Medford after being in business for about five years. The article mentions that the reason for their closing of this location is due in part to the delay in the extension of the Green Line. As a result, Boloco decided not to renew their lease and may be shutting the Medford location around the end of November.

[November 17 update: A note from the Boloco Facebook page indicates that the Medford location of the restaurant is hoping to remain open through the end of the year--and possibly longer depending on the amount of business the place does.]

Boloco first started out in the Boston area in 1997, eventually growing to include several locations in the city as well as shops in Cambridge, Natick, Concord, NH, Hanover, NH, and Burlington, VT. In addition to burritos, the chain also offers salads, wraps, smoothies, and shakes.

The address for Boloco in Medford is: Boloco, 340 Boston Avenue, Medford, MA, 02155. The website for the chain can be found at http://boloco.com/
