A Thai restaurant in Quincy has closed its doors after being in business for longer than nearly any other current spot in the downtown section of the city.
A sign on the front door of the place indicates that Siam House on Hancock Street in Quincy Center is no longer in business, having closed at the beginning of this month. The restaurant, which had been in existence for more than a decade, is one of several eateries that has closed in the downtown part of Quincy over the past couple of years, including Finian's, Bad Abbot's, Little Q, The Jury Room, Eatin' Healthy, and Dirty Dogs. (Several eateries have also opened in the neighborhood during the same time period, including the Stadium Bar and Grill, Remick's, Texas Saloon, and Bistro Chi/Kama Lounge.)
Siam House was a dining spot that our sister site (Boston's Hidden Restaurants) had reviewed a few years ago, with the review being at this link:

The address for this now-closed Thai restaurant in Quincy Center was: Siam House, 1472 Hancock Street, Quincy, MA, 02169.
