It looks like a group of frozen yogurt shops in Montreal is going to be opening a location in Burlington, with a possible opening sometime around the end of the year.
According to the Montreal Gazette, Yeh! Yogourt Glace and Cafe is planning to open new outlets in the Boston area and Albany by Christmas, joining three other locations in Montreal. [November 9 update: According to Linear Retail, the new location will be at the Burlington Marketplace shopping center, which is across from the Burlington Mall on Mall Road in Burlington.] The shops are self-service, with customers picking from an array of flavors, toppings, and sauces, with the price being determined by weight. A few of the toppings offered at Yeh! Yogourt Glace and Cafe include strawberries, watermelon, wheat germ, graham crackers, coco puffs, marshmallow, yogurt chips, and truffles, while sauces include caramel, Irish creme, and maple syrup. Other items sold at the shops include smoothies, waffles, crepes, and tea and coffee.Yeh! Yogourt Glace and Cafe first opened on Boulevard St-Laurent in 2008, eventually expanding to include two other shops in the city. At least one more Montreal-area outlet appears to be on the way, with this one coming to nearby Laval next spring, according to the article.
