Food Day is on its way to the Boston area and the rest of the country, and a number of events are being planned for it in and around Beantown.
An email sent to us by CBH Communications indicates that Food Day will take place on Monday, October 24, with the focus of the day being on the production of healthy and affordable food in a humane and sustainable way. Restaurants, chefs, food activists, writers, and elected officials will be involved in various events, including a community-sourced potluck in South Boston, a conference on food policy in Cambridge, a free screening of the documentary Food Fight at the Museum of Science in Boston, a food day and film screening at Clark University in Worcester, and gleaning network events in Worcester County and Suffolk County.
