A French and South American bistro in Jamaica Plain that has been in business for about six years has closed its doors.
According to the Jamaica Plain Patch, Bon Savor on Centre Street is now shuttered, and the space is now up for lease. An article from the Jamaica Plain Gazette mentions that the restaurant's owners have actually been in Colombia since 2009, when their re-entry visa to the United States was denied. The restaurant had been open only for brunch on weekends of late, but now the eatery is apparently closed for good.
As we mentioned last month, a rumor has been going around about Ten Tables (a restaurant located on the same block) possibly opening a burger bar in the Bon Savor space, but based on the "For Lease" sign at the site, this may indeed be simply a rumor.
The address for this now-closed restaurant in Jamaica Plain was: Bon Savor, 605 Centre Street, Boston, MA, 02130.
