A Beacon Hill restaurant that has been in business for nearly 75 years is getting ready to open a second location of its eatery, with this one being in South Boston.
According to the restaurant's website and Adam's Hospitality and Tourism Industry Blog, The Paramount is opening this coming Monday (December 12) on East Broadway in Southie, about a block west of the L Street intersection. The space that the new Paramount is moving into was formerly home to The Fish Pier, a seafood restaurant and market that closed earlier this year. It looks like the new Paramount will be serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and it will have a full liquor license.
The Paramount first opened on Charles Street in Beacon Hill in 1937 and has become an institution of sorts, attracting both locals and visitors to Boston. The restaurant offers classic breakfast and lunch dishes and becomes slightly more upscale in the evening, featuring a mix of New American and traditional American dinners.
The address for the new Paramount in South Boston is: The Paramount, 667 E Broadway, South Boston, MA, 02127. The web link for the South Boston location can be found at http://www.paramountboston.com/southboston
