A private cooking competition and food tasting in support of the President of the United States is on its way to Boston later this month.
An email sent by Eat.Live.Blog indicates that Chefs for Obama will be held on Tuesday, January 31 at The Cyclorama at the Boston Center for the Arts on Tremont Street in Boston's South End. The event, which begins at 6:30 PM, will feature the following area chefs: Jody Adams (Rialto and Trade), Jamie Bissonnette (Toro and Coppa), Chris Coombs (Deuxave and dbar), Evan DeLuty (Stella), Tiffani Faison (Sweet Cheeks), Will Gilson (The Herb Lyceum), Gordon Hamersley (Hamersley's Bistro), Barbara Lynch (No. 9 Park, B&G Oysters, Stir, The Butcher Shop, Drink, Sportello), Barry Maiden (Hungry Mother), Seth Morrison (The Gallows), Rebecca Newell (The Beehive), Marc Orfaly (Pigalle and Marco), Brian Reyelt (Franklin Cafe, The Citizen, Tasty Burger), and Ting Wen Yen (Oishii). Guest judges will include Diane Patrick, Governor Deval Patrick, and Chef Ming Tsai.
Tickets to the event cost $250.00 (General Admission), $500.00 (General Admission including chef's cookbook + entry into drawing to judge the competition), and $1,000.00 (HostCookbook + entry into drawing to judge the competition + pre-reception with Chefs).
