Barrio (A Cuban Pop-Up Restaurant) Is Coming to Boston

The person behind an ice cream and dessert cafe in Brighton--and a soul food pop-up restaurant this month--is getting ready to set up a new pop-up dining spot, with this one focusing on Cuban cuisine.

According to Eater Boston, Wheeler del Torro of 3 Scoops is going to bring Barrio to an unspecified location on Thursday, March 8 starting at 8:30 PM, with the pop-up being "a celebration of Afro Cuban street food" that "draws on inspiration from the hues, spices, and flavors of the barrios of Cuba." Unlike his previous ventures (including Dining in the Dark), Barrio will be open to the public rather than being limited to folks on Wheeler's mailing list.

Wheeler del Torro is also the person behind Fillet of Soul, a pop-up restaurant for February that focused on healthy takes on soul food.
