If a sign on one of its windows is any indication, it appears that a now-closed sandwich shop in Randolph that is affiliated with a bakery in Boston's North End is getting ready to open once again.
A photo sent to us by CheckMark2015 via the Hiddenboston Twitter page shows that Bova's Corner Sandwich Shop on Center Street is apparently planning a "grand reopening" on Monday, March 5, more than two years after the place shuttered. The sandwich shop had been a branch of Bova's Bakery on Salem Street in the North End, a landmark spot that has been around since the early 1930s. It is not yet known whether the latest configuration of the Randolph location of Bova's will be similar to the original place, but if so, expect such items as subs, pizzas, and calzones.
