A local chain of pizzerias that has expanded quite a bit over the past few years is getting a bit smaller, as two of its North Shore locations are closing.
According to their Facebook page, Upper Crust Pizzeria is closing in Salem and Beverly, with the Beverly location lasting only about a year (it first opened in January of 2011). A specific reason was not given for their closures on the Facebook page, with the message simply stating that their "Beverly and Salem franchisee has decided to close" and that "If you're looking for a taste of Upper Crust north of Boston, visit us in Lexington and Newburyport, Mass., and Portsmouth, N.H."
Other locations of the Upper Crust chain can be found in Boston, Brookline, Cambridge, Hingham, Plymouth, Waltham, Watertown, Wellesley, and West Roxbury.
