b.good Is Planning to Start Franchising

A local chain of restaurants that features "real" fast food is planning to franchise, with an eventual expansion outside the Boston area being a possibility.

The Harvard Crimson reports that b.good is looking to start franchising later this year, with the plan being to sell two franchises and open at least one new store before the end of 2012. The article also mentions that the Boston-based burger chain is hoping to have new locations outside of the region "after a few years."

b.good first started out in Boston's Back Bay in 2003, featuring such items as house-ground hamburgers, turkey burgers, veggie burgers, chicken sandwiches, handcut fries, and all-natural shakes. Locations can be found in downtown Boston, the Back Bay (3 of them), Cambridge's Harvard Square, Legacy Place in Dedham, the Burlington Marketplace in Burlington, and the Derby Street Shoppes in Hingham.
