The Eater Boston site is reporting that The Bearded Pig is looking to open a brick-and-mortar BBQ place somewhere in Union Square. The article, which gets its information from the Twitter page of a Somerville catering company by the same name, mentions that the new spot may be open by the early summer, and that the person behind it used to manage a barbecue place in Washington, DC.
The menu for The Bearded Pig's catering operation includes such items as pulled pork, pulled chicken, brisket, sausage, St. Louis Spare Ribs, chicken wings, Brunswick stew, collard greens, macaroni and cheese, Texas corn pudding, deviled eggs, and banana pudding.
