It looks like a Mongolian restaurant may be coming to the Beacon Hill section of Boston.
The Beacon Hill Patch reports that the Beacon Hill Civic Association's Zoning and Licensing Committee will be listening to plans for a new dining spot that serves Mongolian fare in the former Spotted Apron Space on Cambridge Street. A check on the Beacon Hill Civic Association's site indicates that a lease has already been signed for the unnamed restaurant, with the applicant/tenant discussing the proposal of a place that features "authentic Mongolian cuisine." The new eatery would have a capacity of 59, with hours being from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM daily.
Early last year we reported that the group behind the Beantown Pub on Tremont Street had been looking at this space (see link below), but those plans apparently fell through, at least for that location.
[November 11 update: The Beacon Hill Times mentions that the name of the planned dining spot in Beacon Hill--which has been given the green light by the Beacon Hill Civic Association--is Little Lamb Hot Pot. (Note that it is not related to Little Q Hot Pot in Arlington or the Q Restaurant in downtown Boston.) Thanks to a poster on the Chowhound site for bringing this to our attention.]
[May 2, 2013 update: A poster on the Chowhound site says that Little Lamb Hot Pot is now open.]
The address for this new Mongolian restaurant in Boston's Beacon Hill is 326 Cambridge Street, Boston, MA, 02114.
