A Twitter post from the Boston Burger Blog indicates that Umami on Beacon Street near Washington Square is now shuttered, confirming what a few of our readers have told us recently. The post shows a sign out front saying that the dining spot is no longer in operation, and that a new concept--presumably from the same owners--may be on the way.
Umami first opened its doors in the summer of 2010.
The address for this now-closed Asian restaurant near Washington Square was: Umami, 1704 Beacon Street, Brookline, MA, 02445.
