Chicken and Rice Guys to Open Brick-and-Mortar Restaurant in Medford

It looks like yet another Boston-area food truck will be opening a brick-and-mortar restaurant.

Eater Boston is reporting that the folks behind the Chicken & Rice Guys truck are looking to open a permanent dining spot and are asking their fans via a Facebook post where they should be looking. (They indicated that Allston may be at the top of the list right now.) No other information has been given at this point, and it's not known when this may happen, so keep checking back for updates.

[June 12, 2014 update: A new article from Eater Boston mentions (via Hub Food Trucks) that the brick-and-mortar restaurant from the Chicken & Rice Guys will be located in Medford Square. It looks like the dining spot will open sometime after the summer food truck season, though an exact date has not been given.]

[November 14, 2014 update: A new article posted in Eater Boston says that the exact address for the upcoming Chicken & Rice Guys brick-and-mortar will be 64 Salem Street in Medford Square, with the eatery hoping to open in early 2015.]

The Chicken & Rice Guys food truck debuted in April of 2012, offering halal chicken and rice with white sauce or spicy red sauce options. They also do catering, with pita platters, tabbouleh salads, tofu quinoa salads, gyros, baklava, and apple tea available. Their website can be found at http://www.thechickenriceguys.com/
