Peet's Coffee and Tea Is Opening in Boston's Beacon Hill Neighborhood

A California-based coffee roaster and retailer is going to be opening a new location in Boston, with this one coming to the heart of the Beacon Hill neighborhood.

A post from Linear Retail indicates that Peet's Coffee & Tea has signed a lease for a space on Charles Street (at Mt. Vernon Street), with the place offering specialty coffee and tea as well as gourmet baked good. It is not yet known exactly when the 1,842-square-foot shop will open, so keep checking back for updates.

[November 21 update: A note sent from @universalhub indicates that the city of Boston has approved of Peet's plans to open on Charles Street. (It is still not known when the shop will open, though.)]

[March 27, 2015 update: BostInno states that the new location of Peet's on Charles Street is now open.]

Peet's Coffee & Tea first started out in Berkeley, CA, in 1966 and currently has several locations in the Boston area, including in Brookline, Cambridge, Lexington, Newton Centre, and Wellesley. The website for the company is at: http://www.peets.com/
