M.F. Dulock Owner to Open Sillari's Pizza in Malden

The person behind a butcher shop in Somerville is going to be expanding his production, and the expansion will result in a pizza place opening up as well.

Boston Magazine is reporting that Michael Dulock of M.F. Dulock Pasture-Raised Meats on Highland Avenue is planning to expand his production to a space on Medford Street in Malden, and because the space was formerly a pizzeria, he is considering having the place become a pizza spot as well three or four days a week. The article says that Dulock looks to make pizza that has influences from both New York-style and Neopolitan-style pies, with toppings likely being limited to "classic" options such as pepperoni, mushroom, etc.

It appears that pizza would be served out of the Malden space Thursday through Saturday as well as Sundays every now and then, according to the article.

[July 13, 2015 update: Eater Boston mentions that the name of the upcoming spot in Malden from Michael Dulock will be Sillari's Pizza, and that construction on the space began last month. (EB also says that New England Culinary Institute graduate Scott Sillari is involved with the place as well.)]

[May 11, 2016 update: Eater Boston states (via an Instagram photo) that Sillari's Pizza finally appears to be close to opening.]

M.F. Dulock Pasture-Raised Meats is located at 201 Highland Avenue in Somerville, while the expanded production space (and pizza place) will be at 97 Medford Street in Malden. The website for the butcher shop is at http://www.mfdulock.com/
