According to a source, Sonny Noto's in the Central Square section of Eastie is no longer in business, with a call placed to their shop in Wakefield confirming this. Based on chatter on both Facebook and Twitter, it appears that the eatery closed over the past few days, though it is not known exactly why the place shut down. Sonny Noto's has been known in part for its steak tips, steak and cheese subs, Italian sausage, and the "Noto Special" sub (chicket cutlet, prosciutto, roasted peppers, mozzarella), with other popular items being the chicken, broccoli, and ziti and their Italian subs.
