Sabroso Taqueria Returning to Boston

A Mexican food stand in Boston's Downtown Crossing that closed down several years ago is on its way back to the city.

Eater Boston is reporting (via a Licensing Board page within the City of Boston website) that Sabroso Taqueria is looking to open on Oliver Street in the Financial District. The eatery had been located on Washington Street until 2008, when the Filene's building was taken down. If all goes as planned, the dining spot could be offering such items as burritos, tacos, guacamole, and quesadillas (based on the menu at their old location).

[September 2 update: According to a picture included in a Twitter post, it looks like the folks behind Zo (a pair of Greek restaurants in downtown Boston) will also be behind Sabroso Taqueria.]

[October 28 update: A new article from Eater Boston indicates that Sabroso Taqueria has opened.]

The address for this new Mexican restaurant in the Financial District is 2 Oliver Street, Boston, MA, 02109.
