Sal's Pizza in Boston's Fenway Neighborhood Has Closed; Food Truck May Be on the Way

A local chain of pizza places and Italian restaurants has closed one of its Boston locations, though there is also news of a pizza truck possibly being in the works.

According to one of our readers, Sal's Pizza on Brookline Avenue in the Fenway section of the city is shuttered, with a check on the Sal's website confirming this. A note on the site mentions something interesting, however; it says that "We are closing our doors but not our pizza ovens...keep a lookout for our pizza truck coming soon!"

The Fenway location of Sal's first opened in May of 2011, joining a number of locations of Sal's Pizza as well as a group of Italian restaurants called Salvatore's.

The address for this now-closed pizza place near Fenway Park was: Sal's Pizza, 132 Brookline Avenue, Boston, MA, 02215. The website for the chain is: http://www.sals-pizza.com/
