Amateras Plans to Open in Beijing Kyoto Space in Boston's Leather District

It looks like another ramen spot may be on its way to the area, with this one being a short distance away from Boston's South Station.

Universal Hub is reporting that Amateras is looking to open on South Street in the Leather District neighborhood of the city, with the eatery moving into the space where the Asian restaurant Beijing Kyoto has been. If the Boston Licensing Board gives the green light to the place, the dining spot will have seating for 45, with the focus being on ramen. (It is not yet known what else might be on the menu.)

The board votes today on whether to award a license to Amateras, according to Universal Hub.

The address for this proposed ramen spot in the Leather District is 112 South Street, Boston, MA, 02111.

[April 20, 2017 update: Nearly three years after it was first announced, plans for Amateras appear to be back on track, as a new Boston Licensing Board hearing page indicates that the city will look into the restaurant's request for a common victualler license on April 26.]
