Cucina D Is Opening in Bedford, Taking Over the Boardroom Bistro Space

[Ed note: This article was updated on September 2 to reflect new information given.]

A new Italian restaurant is on its way to a northwest suburb of Boston, and the family behind it happens to own two other Italian eateries north of the city.

According to its website, Cucina D is going to be opening in Bedford, with the address indicating that it is moving into the office building where the Boardroom Bistro resides. (Ed note: That restaurant remains open, and it is not yet known whether the new dining spot will be taking over its space at this point in time.) The DiCenso family, which owns Donatello in Saugus and Luna Rossa in Tewksbury, will be running Cucina D, with the website saying that "Chef Damiano DiCenso, formerly voted as having the best Italian food in the Merrimack Valley by Merrimack Valley Magazine (2012), is excited to bring his style of cooking to Bedford and the surrounding areas." The restaurant will also have a private function room and will offer catering as well.

Expect a fall opening for Cucina D, according to its Facebook page.

[September 2 update: One of our readers here mentions that the Boardroom Bistro is now apparently closed (a phone call to the place went directly to voicemail). Also, a page within the Town of Bedford website confirms that Cucina D will indeed be taking over the Boardroom Bistro space, with the place opening in the middle of this month.]

The address for this new Italian restaurant in Bedford is: Cucina D, 54 Middlesex Turnpike, Bedford, MA, 01730. Its website can be found at http://www.cucinad.com/
