Del Sur Is Opening in Burlington

A fast-food place that focuses on empanadas is on its way to a northern suburb of Boston.

The Daily Times Chronicle is reporting that Del Sur is going to be opening in Burlington, with the Cambridge Street spot being mainly a takeout place with seating for nine. The article says that fresh empanadas will be the focus here, though it is not yet know whether they will offer anything else on their menu. Del Sur was recently given the green light by the Burlington Planning Board, and it looks like the eatery could be opening in the fall, according to the Daily Times Chronicle.

[April 9, 2015 update: According to a poster on the Chowhound site, it looks like Del Sur may be opening during the week of April 22, and that it will be a small fast-food spot using fresh, natural, organic and locally-sourced ingredients. In addition, an earlier meeting minutes page within the Town of Burlington website indicates that it will be a Chilean restaurant.]

[May 21, 2015 update: A new post on Chowhound indicates that Del Sur is now open.]

The address for this new fast-food spot in Burlington is: Del Sur, 390 Cambridge Street, Burlington, MA, 01803.
