Olea Cafe in Brookline Village May Be Reopening

It looks like a now-closed dining spot in Brookline Village could be reopening, with what appears to be a different menu.

Eater Boston is reporting (via the Brookline Beacon) that the Board of Selectmen approved of license transfers for Rafael Pieretti of Newton to reopen Olea Cafe, with extensive renovations being made and the eatery featuring a modern Italian menu that would include bruschetta, panini, and pasta as well as beer and wine. (The original restaurant offered breakfast dishes, salads, wraps, panini, coffee, and tea, along with a few Mediterranean items.) The original Olea first opened in 2011, moving into the space where a location of Sandwich Works had been, but it closed its doors sometime over the past few months.

The address for Olea Cafe is 195 Washington Street, Brookline, MA, 02445.
