According to a source, a "Stop Work" order is posted out front at what would be the future home of Bistro 781 on Moody Street, with an earlier Twitter post confirming this. The Waltham Community site had mentioned (via the Downtown Waltham Partnership site) that Bistro 781 would be an upscale American bistro run by the previous owner of the former New Landing restaurant, which was also located on Moody Street. As soon as we find out the exact status of the dining spot, we will post an update here.
The space that Bistro 781 has been planning to move into was the home of New Mother India, which closed in September after being in business for more than 30 years.
The address for this space is 336 Moody Street, Waltham, MA, 02453.
