Andy Husbands (Tremont 647) Is Planning to Open a New Restaurant

It looks like one of the best-known chefs and restaurateurs in Boston may be opening a new dining spot.

According to an article from The Boston Foodie, Andy Husbands of Tremont 647 in the city's South End neighborhood "will soon be opening a new restaurant." TBF goes on to say that they "are sworn to secrecy as to location and cuisine," but it will apparently be different from that of his Tremont Street restaurant.

Husbands is also a cookbook author and is known in part for being on the Fox TV show Hell's Kitchen in 2009.

As soon as we find out more about Husbands' new restaurant, we will post an update here.

[March 4 update: According to a reliable source within the restaurant industry, the proposed restaurant from Andy Husbands is likely going into the former Tommy Doyle's space in Cambridge's Kendall Square if all goes as planned, which jibes with information from an earlier post from Eater Boston.]
