Lord Hobo Brewing Company to Open in Woburn

The person behind a Cambridge beer bar is getting ready to open a massive new brewery in the northern suburbs of Boston.

Boston Magazine is reporting that Lord Hobo owner Daniel Lanigan is planning on opening Lord Hobo Brewing Company in Woburn in March, with the 47,000-square-foot facility being able to make as many as 10,000 barrels--or 315,000 gallons--of beer per year once it gets up and running. An earlier article from The Boston Globe mentions that the new brewery would break new ground, as "Lanigan breathlessly recites the fact no American brewery has ever produced 10,000 barrels in its first year," while the Boston Magazine article says that he is seeing the Draper Street facility as a "hop-forward" brewery with several "distinctive" IPAs as well as saisons and a stout.

In addition to the manufacturing area, Lord Hobo Brewing Company will also have a taproom with a capacity of 400 along with what looks to be a retail shop, according to Boston Magazine.

The address for this new brewery in Woburn is: Lord Hobo Brewing Company, 5 Draper Street, Woburn, MA, 01801. Its website will be at http://lordhobobrewing.com/ (The Lord Hobo beer bar is located at 92 Hampshire Street in Cambridge.)
