Centre Street Sanctuary in Jamaica Plain Is Closing

A restaurant that was located in a rather unusual space within a Boston neighborhood is closing its doors.

Following up on information from a source, a phone call placed to the dining spot indicates that Centre Street Sanctuary in Jamaica Plain shuts down for good at the end of business hours today, though it not known at this point in time why exactly it has closed. The restaurant, which first opened in May of 2013, was housed on the Blessed Sacrament campus where a Catholic church had been until closing approximately 10 years ago and featured inventive comfort food dishes along with an array of beer and wine options.

[March 9 update: According to a Facebook post from the restaurant, the place closed because they "ran out of sustainable cash." (Thanks to a twitter poster for bringing this to our attention.)]

The address for this now-closed restaurant in Jamaica Plain was: Centre Street Sanctuary, 365 Centre Street, Boston, MA, 02130.
