Boston Nightlife Ventures to Open Little Owl Tavern

It looks like a local restaurant group is planning to open another dining spot somewhere in the Boston area.

According to its website, Boston Nightlife Ventures is working on a new place called Little Owl Tavern, which will be an Italian restaurant that "pulls from the history of Siena's provincial racing competition and the pageantry that surrounds it." The post goes on to say that the new concept is under development, with no address or timeline given. (As soon as we find out more about the restaurant, we will post an update here.)

Boston Nightlife Ventures (which is also known as BNV), currently operates such places as Griddler's, The Tap Trailhouse, and Wink & Nod, with Southern Kin Cookhouse and Bar on its way to Somerville's Assembly Row and Certified Meatball Company also coming to an undisclosed location. The website for BNV can be found at http://boston-nightlife-ventures.com/

[January 17, 2017 update: More than a year after first reporting on it, there remains very little information on the upcoming Little Owl Tavern (no address and no timeline for opening) other than the fact that it will  feature "coastal Italian cuisine," according to a post in Boston Magazine. The dining spot will be popping up within the Wink & Nod space in the South End, however, setting up shop there starting January 30 and running into March, at which point the industry favorite Kaki Lima--which features Indonesian fare--moves in starting March 20.]
