Sweetgreen to Open Five More Boston-Area Locations

A chain of farm-to-table dining spots that has expanded into Boston over the past few years is getting ready to do a major expansion that will more than double the number of its shops in the region.

A press release sent indicates that Sweetgreen will be opening five new shops this year, including two previously announced here--School Street in Downtown Crossing and Brookline Avenue in the Fenway--along with Summer Street in the Financial District, Harrison Avenue at the Ink Block in the South End, and JFK Street in Cambridge's Harvard Square. The release says that the DTX shop should open in the spring, the Fenway and Financial District stores should open in the summer, and the Ink Block and Harvard Square shops should open in the fall.

Currently, locations of the Washington, DC-based Sweetgreen can be found on Boylston Street and within the Prudential Center in the Back Bay, Chestnut Hill Square on the Newton/Brookline border, and at MarketStreet Lynnfield.
