The Berry Tavern Opens in Danvers

A brand new restaurant has come to an historic space on the North Shore, and the owner is also behind a couple of spots in Boston's North End.

Eater Boston is reporting that The Berry Tavern is now open in Danvers, moving into the spot on High Street where a few places had been going all the way back to the mid-1700s, including the Berry Tavern, Putnam House, Naumkeag House, Hotel Danvers, and Ye Olde Berry Tavern. The article says that Joseph Bono of Al Dente and Benevento's runs the new restaurant, which features a mix of Italian and American items such as wings, garlic bread, ravioli, gnocchi, bolognese, burgers, steak tips, pan-seared scallops, and pizza.

The Berry Tavern is open for lunch and dinner daily from 11:00 AM to 12:30 AM.

The address for The Berry Tavern is 2 High Street, Danvers, MA, 01923. Its website can be found at http://berrytavern.com/
