Tryst in Arlington to Remain in Business; Ownership Change Taking Place

Earlier this month, we reported that an upscale restaurant and bar in Arlington was looking to transfer its license and that the exact future of the place was unknown. Now we have learned that very little--if anything--will be changing.

According to a meeting agenda page from this week, Song-Ho Kim (also listed as Sang Ho Kim earlier) is planning to take over operations of Tryst on Mass. Ave. along with his son Taek, and that "everything is staying the same with the restaurant and it is just a change of ownership." Previously, we had mentioned that owner Paul Turano had been seeking to transfer the Tryst license to Kim and the Taeksoo Corporation, but it was not known at the time what might happen to the dining spot.

Turano also has a restaurant in Newtonville called Cook, while Kim and his family appear to be involved with the Blue Coyote Grill in Maynard.

The address for Tryst is 689 Massachusetts Avenue, Arlington, MA, 02476. Its website can be found at http://www.trystrestaurant.com/
