Caffe Nero Is Opening in Boston's Fort Point This Week

Early last year, we reported that a chain of Italian-style coffee shops based in Europe would be opening a shop in one of Boston's hottest neighborhoods. Now we have learned that its opening is just about here.

A note sent from the chain indicates that the Fort Point location of Caffe Nero soft-opens on Thursday May 19, with the Congress Street store being fully open starting Friday, May 20. The new shop will join others in Boston's Downtown Crossing (Millennium Place), the South End, Longwood, and Jamaica Plain, along with upcoming stores in Cambridge's Central Square, Wellesley, and a second shop in Downtown Crossing at the Millennium Tower development.

The address for this new location of Caffe Nero is 368 Congress Street, Boston, MA, 02210. The website for the chain can be found at http://www.caffenero.com/

[May 19 update: According to a Twitter post from Caffe Nero, free coffee will be served until 3:00 PM today at the new shop in Fort Point.]
