Rebecca's Cafe to Lose Its Home in Cambridge's Kendall Square

It looks like a local group of cafes and caterers will have to close one of its locations, though it may not be happening right away.

According to a poster on the Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook page, Rebecca's Cafe on Main Street in Kendall Square is closing, with a phone call placed to the spot indicating that it indeed is losing its home, though it may not happen for "months" and the company does plan to keep coverage in the immediate area--though they did not specify any further. This is the only location of Rebecca's in Cambridge, with others being in Boston (4), Burlington, Newton, and Waltham (2).

A number of other locations of Rebecca's Cafe have closed over the past several years, including on High Street and State Street in Boston's Financial District as well as in Bedford, Lexington, and North Reading.

The address for Rebecca's Cafe in Kendall Square is 290 Main Street, Cambridge, MA, 02142. The website for the business can be found at http://www.rebeccascafe.com/

[November 7 update: A source tells us that the Kendall Square location of Rebecca's Cafe is closed--and has apparently been so for awhile now.]
