Maki Maki in Allston Has Closed

It looks like one of the few all-you-can-eat sushi buffet spots in the Greater Boston area has shut its doors.

According to a poster on the Chowhound site, Maki Maki in Allston appears to be closed, with a call placed to the Western Avenue restaurant indicating that phone is out of service. A call to a dining spot in Woburn that has the same name indicates that the two are actually not connected, even though it is also an all-you-can-eat spot as well.

Maki Maki first opened in Allston in April of 2012.

The address for the now-closed Maki Maki was 370 Western Avenue, Allston, MA, 02134.

[November 7 update: It appears that the closing of Maki Maki in Allston is a permanent one, as a licensing board page within the City of Boston website shows that its common victualler license is being canceled and that the place is listed as "closed."]
