According to a page within the city of Boston website, Cafe Artigiano is planning to open on City Hall Avenue, which is an alleyway leading from School Street to Court Square near Downtown Crossing and City Hall Plaza. Based on the address, it appears that the new eatery would take over the space where Cafe Hemshin has been, and it looks like one of the owners of Basta Pasta in Cambridge--Altin Hoxhallari--is the manager of the place. (Altin's brother Reno is another owner of Basta Pasta, and he is also the manager of Buco Trattoria in Boston's Fort Point.)
If all goes as planned, Cafe Artigiano will have seating for 34 and proposed hours of 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

[September 8 update: A Twitter post from @DTownBostonBID indicates that Cafe Artigiano plans to open this fall, and that it will feature panini and pasta options, along with catering.]
