The Jamaica Plain news is reporting (via at Twitter post from @guarantdswahili) that Canto 6 on Washington Street will apparently close down at the end of August, and that there is currently a "For Rent" sign out front. The article mentions that the bakery could reopen in a new space at some point, and that it is not yet known why the place is leaving its space.
Canto 6 first opened approximately 10 years ago, offering a variety of soups, sandwiches, baked goods, and pastries.
