Earlier this month, we reported that a highly-rated Brookline restaurant was closing down and that another dining spot could be moving into the space. Now we are hearing who will be opening a restaurant there.
According to multiple sources within the restaurant industry, the Alpine Restaurant Group (Posto, Painted Burro, Rosebud) is looking to take over the space where Ribelle had been until shutting down on July 2. Most of the sources indicate that the new eatery may be a location of the Painted Burro, but there is no confirmation of this as of yet. The restaurant group has indicated that more locations of its dining spots may be coming, saying on its Facebook page that "The group will continue to expand its presence in the region with new locations of Posto and The Painted Burro across New England."
Locations of Posto can currently be found in Somerville's Davis Square and in Waltham, while the Painted Burro and Rosebud are both located in Davis Square.
The address for the former Ribelle space is 1665 Beacon Street, Brookline, MA, 02445.
